Thanks, but if I make it to the Virgins, I probably will be on ..
... a Timex budget after 3 kids in college! Probably eating a lot of beans and wienies, too. I will be on a "working" retirement. Just enough money to buy the boat. My wife and I are both nurses and can work all along the E. seaboard. I'm lucky to have a lady who will even consider doing such a thing- when we were newly marrieds, 25 yrs. ago, we bought a 25' Venture, and spent 6 months on her in Florida. We were to go to the Bahamas and work in a clinic there, but a hurricane changed all that. No shower on board (no running water!) and just enough room to crawl below and, well... sleep. Still love sailing after all these years (and my wife, too) and after my youngest starts college in 2 years I want to just do it, before I am too old and beat up to get out of my easy chair. We've been to the British Virgins and Martinique, St. Kitts, Bart's, St. Maarten's, etc. over the years (on Windjammers sailing vessels) and yes, the shopping is terrific.
