before that final cleaning chase all thread holes, they appear rusty as well as the lifter bores are rusty too and should be cleaned up with a hone and measured.
Also suggest to thread the galley for threaded plugs. If you are using hyd. lifters (it appears to be drilled for hyd) skip blocking the lifter oiling or if using solids plugs are recommended and can help with oil press. It is always fun to watch someone with all the right tools do the job as I struggle with what I have and farm out what I can't do, keep up the good work, hope to see the next installment!
