Anyway, more important was the cleanliness comment. While I appreciate Wes' ongoing effort, the idea of wiping down the bores several times (a good thing) is negated by the presence of what appears to be rust and other "stuff" on the internal surfaces of the block. Where do you think that's going to go when the motor fires? Is it OK to make the newbie think that cleanliness only counts in the bores?

Want a low-buck way to clean rust off? Toss the block into a container with water and some molasses powder, and wait a couple days.
