My anti-iron bias showed, but at least I had the Streetmaster 3rd of 6....

Response to Final Results - First Great FE Intake Comparo

Jay,
What a surprise.
My computer intake manifold algorithm needs a lot of work, I can see that. But I was worried about betting on the Streetmaster even as high as 3rd out of 6 so I feel good about doing that.

I remember Royce saying that the CJ iron was better than the PI - and yet the Ford Muscle Book shows a gain of 6 hp putting the PI on their stock 428cj. They quote part # c6az-h, is that different from c7ae-f?

If you can, after getting some rest,
can you shoot back with:

FPA Headers:
Primary & collector tube OD and (approx.) lengths?

Intakes:
It would help a lot to have the "A" and "B" heights as Edelbrock gives them,
front and rear. For example,

428PI A=5.5 B=7.5
428CJ same??????????????????
Streetmaster A=4.25 B=6.00
Edel F427 ???????????
Perf. RPM A=4.89 B=6.04
Blue Thunder 428cj ?????????

Your tests are such a great service to everybody here, it's redundant to say that!
