First I want to again thank Jay for sharing all of this data with us.
I stand my my earlier post that port matching may be the cause of most of the power differences between what the Dyno found and what we expected. I would not sell my dual planes based on this one set of tests.
And I retract my earlier comment asking that each run be optimized for the manifold. However an air-fuel ratio of 11.2 to 12 is rich. 12.5 is optimal for power with 13.5 fine for power. So something a bit lower for all manifolds would have been a bit better.
I agree that determining why the CJ had tighter exhaust gas temperatures would be nice to know. [Deleted errror.]
I think the second test Jay's planning will provide better data due to port matching, an engine without any mechanical problems and better headers.
Jay still did all of us a service and for a first set of tests I doubt that any of us could have provided as much food for thought.
Thanks again,
Bob
