Today I started disassembling a 390 that was in a '68 F100. It's a major collection of different FE parts, including C8AE-H heads, a C5AE-9425-C 4-bbl intake, a D0ZF distributor and B8A-6250 camshaft. I have two questions pertaining to these parts.
1) I did a search here for the intake PN, and saw several mentions of it as junk. I'm budget-building a street-driven '67 F100 with mild performance/towing in mind. So would this intake work OK for what I have in mind? Would a mild port job help much or would this be a waste of time with this intake?
2) I also did a search here and Google for the camshaft PN, but the only reference I can find mentioned it as being used on '54-'64 F-series trucks 8-cyl 239 256 272 292. Can that be right?? Of course, the numbers I found online all had a suffix, and the cam I have doesn't appear to have a suffix letter...I don't know if that would make a difference as to application. My Ford reference books doesn't go back this far, so I'm wondering what this came out of.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Keith
