Usually your posts confuse me! What I was referring to, and perhaps not correctly, is that the vacuum reading is taken off the middle of one of the intake ports on the Streetmaster. So, maybe (theory time) the small runners of the Streetmaster are acting as a restriction, and contributing to the vacuum in the intake at the point where the vacuum is being measured. The vacuum takeoff point for the BT is closer to the plenum of the intake, and also the intake runner at that point is huge. So, it appears less likely with the BT that the runner could cause a restriction.
Remember I said this was a theory, and it certainly may not be correct. What is correct is the data. Here's an alternate theory: the single plane intake wants a bigger carb. I think I might test that one out tomorrow...
