Response to Great FE Intake Comparo - Report #2 |
| I was considering going with the performer rpm until I reviewed the dyno data.
I may be the rare exception where the performer will fit my needs better than the rpm. I built my engine (428) to top out about 4500 rpms. With a cam similair to the one in the first dyno shootout. My car is 4300 lbs with a 2.75 gears that I never rev over 4500 rpms. The performer and the performer rpm didn't pull away from each other until about 3750 rpms so for me the better bottom end of the performer more than makes up for the increased power from 3750 to 4500 rpms. Thanks
