Performer390 Question's

I am thinking about replacing my current cast iron "T" intake with an Edelbrock Performer390.
I realize there won't be much of a performance gain, but it will look a lot nicer.
My questions are; which gaskets should I use? Is it better to use the cork
end gaskets or just silicone? How will the ports match up with the C8AE-H heads?
How much higher will the carburetor sit as I may have a hood clearance issue.
Thanks for your help, Kim
