Sounds like victory....
F1 has a limit of something like 1.6 - 2 liter size engine - putting out 900 - 1000 horsepower @ 10 - 11,000 rpm. Now - thats not something to turn up your nose at.
Now - add in a full time pit crew and the trimmings ... It's 5 am and you are getting ready to commute from home to work, its 30 deg and a dusting of snow on the road.
Do you walk or catch the bus... cause you and me both know that 1,000 hp/11,000 rpm 2 liter ain't going nowhere.
... Tain't nothin' wrong with a little insurance under the hood, ya never know when you might need to pull a stump out of the ground or pull another car out of a ditch....
Way I see it - if ya got a few extra nickles in the kitty, sure - turn that 352 into 410 - 416. Now if'n ya got a 390, need new crank, pistons and rods? ...while yer in there - might as well go for the gusto?
Unless you are running classes based on cubic inches - why not be all you can be...? Ya don't have to brag about it... matter of fact, I'm pretty humble myself, I keep my 352 shield on the fenders, I do it out of modesty - its not for me, its for the children.
... Labor Omnia Vincit ..
