at a community college. I think it's sad when I think back on all the never taken apart donated dealer/manufacturers automotive components that were all tossed into the dumpster to be disposed of. The half dozen Honda motorcycle engines up to 750- inline 4cys were all beaten to hell with a sledge hammer to scrap metal, ditto beating the Toyota inline 6's, and interesting to see alum head Chevy V8s. The late model car seats were all sliced with razors, etc etc so they would be rendered unusable...Then one night I looked in the dumpster to find they'd tossed out a nearly complete never torn down 69-70 390-2V warranty motor and unlike most everything else they did not bother trashing on any the FE with a sledge hammer at all. I can only guess being Chevy guys in charge of disposal they obviously believed the FORD was already junk - so no hammer needed.
The only other thing they tossed they left alone was a 6 cyl Triumph motor and trans obviously Mfg's cut away and painted "show" display model like you still see at car shows today and I did not even entertain the idea of grabbing it. Such a shame those were pretty cool regardless of the mfg. and some serious machine work went into making a cut-away
