My new 390 is running great but like any horsepower junkie I am already wanting more power and wishing I would have done a couple things different. The vehicle is a 76 F150 2wd... c6 2000 stall....3.89 9" w/ detroit locker.
How much hp do you all think I am making with my current setup?? How much hp would I gain by bolting on a set of edel 600619 aluminum heads and a different cam??
This ol truck is heavy so a 445 stroker would be ideal but funds dont allow for any bottom end work at the moment. The plan is to upgrade the heads now and build a 445 short block later. Basically I am looking for suggestions for head and cam options that will wake this motor up but still pull this heavy old truck around.
