Hot Rod Mag's format

Hi guys. What's everyone's assessment of HRM's new look? They seem to have set aside thoughtful text, to capitulate once and for all for the chaotic visual imagery that resembles the web. Turning pages, I cannot immediately determine what is an ad, and what is part of their editorial content.

I understand their pressure to remain relevant and contemporary, but right now I think they may have finally lost me.
