Hello All-

Anyone on here have any knowledge of Ford racing history, 64-67?

Interested in getting details, info, on the "S/FX" time frame, the supercharged door slammer cars, like Chrisman's Comet, Beswick's Mystery Tornado GTO, the original Dodge Chargers(330 sedans), for the main examples.

These are the influences I'm using on my 65 Galaxie. The plot is a "sold at the end of racing season", detuned, S/FX doorslammer.

It's ok to laugh, everyone else has....but those Dodges were on a 119" wheelbase too, and around the same weight as a 65 Galaxie...big cars can move, if need be!

Been searching alot online, but no joy, especially in regards to the Ford stuff.

Anyone have any info and pics on:

Ford factory racing shifters for the early modded C6's, or the Clutch C6 setup. Or 1966-67 C6 aftermarket shifters.
90 degree, or front (timing cover) mount, distributors.
Factory or team fabbed oil pans and headers.

Any rear suspension mods, that might have been done to a 65-66 Galaxie back then- for instance, would they have fabbed up a set of those long traction/lift bars, like you see on the A/FX Comets and Falcons? Not too sure how they would have handled a 3 link with a hopped up big block back then.

Roll bars- hmmmmm....just a 4-point back then?
Mustang or Econoline seats would be used?

I think that would do it. The other stuff is finally coming through. Thanks for listening, and for your time.
