I dig fenderwells

Response to In 64 my uncle built fenderwell headers for his 57 406. He was advised.................

Hey Rod, I dig fenderwells and have seen them speed up all kinds of Drag or fast street cars too. Reducing the total number of bends, degree of bend, and adding the larger radiuses sure works. And they look cool pointed down and back.

Can't quite pull it off with shock towers and a rear steer car.

On our HMS dynos, we had race headers, like boat or sprint car headers. Fewest possible bends. We would swap them by combo, 1 7/8 2 2 1/8 and 2 1/4...for cammers. And often run the chassis header to tune or test

Hey, that black and white picture of your first car, or 427 Galaxy with the tear drop hood is bitchin' ! The one from an earlier post, on the lawn ? Now why did you let her get away? What color was it? How fast was it? Those looked like Halibrands? Or, can't quite tell? Very cool.
