O/T: Welder help diagnosis Update

Just wanted to say thanks again for the input from folks and follow up on the issue/resolution. An electrician/mech who helps us at work Steve Ferrel came by the house on a Sat and took a look at the thing. We proceeded to check basics, and then wanted to test the lead posts. No start. Found the pos battery cable was cracked at the starter connect end, and then found the battery breaker (push button reset) had lost a lead while opening the case) Once both were remedied, walla, the thing welds like a bolt of lightning!! Thanks to all and if anyone needs a good electrician in socal (Hunt Beach) Steve is a great guy!!
