I have ran dads car the last couple races, and when I set the trans brake in the lights it rolls ahead about 2 inches, give or take a little. I want to eliminate this. I figured I could run a wire from the hot side of the trans brake button to the hot side of the linelock so when I pushed the transbrake at the line, it would activate the linelock also and not roll ahead. I did this and blew the fuse right away for the linelock. It was only a 5 amp fuse, put a 10 in and did the same thing. Do I just need a bigger fuse? I'm not the best with electronics so need some advice.
On the brakes, I installed the discs a few months ago, but haven't ran much lately. A few days ago we jacked the front up as the last race it "danced" a little on the top end. I didn't find anything wrong there, I think it was our lovely smooth track. Anyway the wheels were really hard to turn, just sitting for a few days in the shop. The brakes were tight, not the bearings. I left it sit on stands for a couple days, thinking I'd just pull the pads and sand a little off of them. I was working on something else and walked by and turned them and they turned fine. I did nothing, just let it sit. It was a bolt on kit made for drag racing, willwood. Any ideas here? I haven't checked them at the track, but for sure will, but wonder if I should do something first.
