Suggestion for aligment shim starting point please.

While I had the front suspension off to paint and bed liner the front end I also did the UCA drop "Shelby drop". I read that a I/8 shim should be removed from all point's when going back together. I understand that the drop builds in a little positive caster. My question is what is a good shim pack starting point? This thing had things going every direction. And while on the subject, the strut rod starting point. Hell, the right side pulled all the way forward then the shim's were stacked on the back of the upper arm to catch up with it. 1961 Falcon is the subject car.
