When I first built this 65 I used a low riser 8V setup and generic 600 cfm carbs. I utilized LOKARs universal throttle kit and we fabricated the bracketry. Although mine was an automatic, I used a Cheeta Shifter which made shifting the transmission up or down very easy so no kickdown was used.
Later I changed to an RPM intake and a DEMON 4V carburetor with "FORD LINKAGE" and reworked the LOKAR linkage. If I were to do it over again I would figure out how to retain the factory throttle cable for the 4v carb. I never liked the feel of the LOKAR linkage and was not sure if the throttle was opening completely.
