Response to Quit teasing me about Corvairs!
I hate to admit it but I drove a 66 110 for a bit and it was really was a fun car. Unfortunately it had a powerglide with that heater switch control on the dash for a shifter. People often asked about it or even reached for the thing and I'd say it was the ejector seat switch and drop it into first at speed. It wasn't much of a jolt or good for the trans but it was fun and was still working up until I put a small block in it.
Another thing I found interesting is that the Corvair Stinger was the first Yenko dealer conversion. I didn't realize the effort put into those for a long time and figured it for a goofy dressup package to off Corvairs sitting on the lot more like a "Jury" Lemans.
