Response to Del West

Talking about exact replacements. Yes there are used valves out there that can be modified. I bought a set of correct length , 11/32 stem valves with a 2.180 head diameter and was seriously thinking about a trim down to 2.09 and sleeving the 3/8ths guides down. Will probably do it when I pull the heads. Cost was $100 for the 8. "To me" the 6mm(.247) and 7mm ( .275) stem diameters are a bit scary. The smallest I've gone is 8mm(5/16ths or .312). Guess I'm too old and conservative LOL. Thanks for the tip.
