Sounds like you are asking for a miracle to get a block with that much wall. I have run a couple .060" over 390's with no problems. Never sonic checked them at all. The one was already running in my 67 Ranchero when I bought it, but loose and burned oil. I drove it for a while and rebuilt it for more power. Discovered then that it was .060" already and got another .040" block that I had bored to use the .060" pistons. It ran cool and got beat on hard whether the walls were .050" thick or .250".

I had that original .060" over block bored to 4.13" to use some standard 428" pistons and it barely took out any metal, it was worn to 4.13" already. Someone used that block with a IU crank from a 410 in a pickup truck for many years. Might still be out there.
