I have a 105 3 rib block, it doesn't mean a lot. But, I would like to go 4.125

Response to .280" ?

But, an FE is a lot like a Pontiac bore spa e,etc. If I could get some 4.094 forged pistons, and machine the 3.98 crank I have to 4 inch stroke it would at least be 421 co.

I would rather go to 4.125 x 4 and be at 427 ci with the band. But a 421 would work. I wish I could get some 6.85 rods and 1.32 light forged pistons, but good luck finding a good used set with 1/16 1/16 3/16 rings. It would be a good old school engine. Mondello believed in 1.7 rod ratio for mediocre heads. As a 421 or 427 it would be a sweet engine. 2.1 rod journals and that ratio would be stout. I have some really big roller cams. I'd rather have a smaller 137 firing order hyd roller. Wishing again, but if folks have ends and pieces, I have some trade bait. Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. Lol.
