Response to Re: Kris I dont follow some of this

I always thought that NHRA only allowed the aluminum PI intake on the 66 & 67 390s, and on the Shelby Mustangs, not a 68 or 69 Fairlane, Torino or Cobra, or on any of the regular non Shelby 428 Mustangs. Also, I would not consider the F427 as "pathetic". I ran a F427 (port matched to the stock iron CJ heads0 ON MY 428 Fairmont, back when it had the transbraked C6, and it ran vitually identical to my ported Streetmaster, Offy PortOSonic, or Sidewinder, mid 10s at 126 MPH.
And I have had Streetmasters and F 427s on my factory 69 & 70 Mach 1s, and they worked fine with the Shakers, although I did add a thin spacer to both to get the Shaker sticking up as high as I thought looked best.
