Came across some SOHC info some peole might find interesting. Someone email me that can post it. The secretary tried but couldn't do it, and I sure can't RWJ
Shoe, you are a genius. These records are just a snapshot of one particular time at Ford. Ive seen records of revisions on the aluminum SOHC heads 6 months after the date on the letter, question is did Ford make any more? I've seen numbers on Aluminum SOHC heads from 3 to 130. As for the SOHC production info. I saw records of motors being developed in 1964, when did production start and end? Maybe I can find some more info one day,RWJ
Common thoughts on Cammer production numbers suggests that about 2500 were made.

Folk like Rick Kirk and others that raced the Cammer back in the day, believe there were something closer to 2000 or 2500 Cammers made by Ford. I'm not sure where "Cammer conversion kits" fit in here, as I know many Cammer heads were sold all by themselves, but it does make sense that a number of production runs were made for the Cammer.
Kevin, tell Tom hello and thats a wild Fairlane, is that the turbo motor Mike built? It seems from these numbers on SOHC heads that more than 150 were built. I would assume at least 200. The thing I saw with the cammer production sheet was intereesting was the race and street version, wonder what the difference was? RWJ

we see more of that rad Fairlane? Much as I like to look at SOHC pics, that is one mean looking ride. How soon to completion? More pics available?
On the SOHC, are those made-up steel reinforcement plates down by the cross-bolt area or simply the pic making the machined but unpolished area look different? How's about the non-OEM cam support straps up top?
Great info. Trivia for sure, but nice to be able to get an idea of how many of things were built. I didn't realize there were different Street and Race SOHC's, what were the differences?
In case someon missed it, the aluminum SOHC motor that Kevin posted is going in the Fairlane that he posted also. I think Mike Jackson told me it's a turbo motor. That will be hard to top in my book, RWJ

There is SAWEET and then there is SAWEEEEEET. This has got to be one of the MOST OVER THE TOP cars I have seen. Looking at the CAR makes me want to get working on it, and putting a CAMMER in it is CHECK AND CHECKMATE. Please convey the ATTA-BOYS to the owner. This is a very very neat car and SECOND TO NONE. It is also my CONCEPT of hot rodding in its truest form. I LOVE THIS CAR, DICK, THE BLUE OVAL BANDIT FROM BEND
I think the car is being built for the show where Foos and the other top custom builders compete each year, can't remember the name, but what the hell, sometimes I can't remember my own. I'm sure someone here does.
Hey, i'm a Tom and i have two 64 Fairlanes... not one like that unfortunately! I know Mr Cantrell, i bought my HiRiser heads off him. He's certainly into cool Fords.
And I want fries with that too. WOW, that is an awesome car. I like the idea of a turbo cammer too, that should be a block buster for sure. I am thinking that putting any kind of turbo that is somewhat matched on a cammer should make an easy thousand plus HP. I like the bodywork and the stance and wheels too. Looks neat without the paint... it would be cool if you could metalfinish it and clearcoat it or something but I am unaware of any way that can be done to steel where it wont rust pretty quick.
