Hello FE Forum,
I have a question about my PCV set up. Yes the topic has been touched b4 in the forum. But the current situation is whether this type of PCV set up works for street. Blue Thunder intake manifold, front oil fill tube and rear intake manifold PCV fitting plate with the oil slosh basket. I would like to know if I am creating or will create problems by plugging the valve cover breathers. I had some clearance issues with the breathers when I went to taller valve covers (Ansen family). I also have a TCP shock tower stabilization system (1969 mustang)that's why the breathers have clearance issues. Does anyone know if this set up is workable. As far as I can tell, I believe it should. Let me know what some of you think, and thanks in advance to all.
Hey thanks for the reply. Yeah my TCP set up looks cool and adds a nice feel to road handling, it would be a shame to dump it. I found some valve cover oil fill plugs that work and my clearance issue went away, but I lost the two valve cover breathers that I was using in addition to the oil fill tube w/breather and the pcv valve in the rear that plugs into the carb base. But if you have no issues I guess mine should match up the same. Thanks again. FE forum is a really good forum.
Me too as for no other reason but it just wouldn't look stock when on display. But I don't have a PCV valve, just the road draft tube type but with a pan-evac set up.

Ditto on Carnut's comments. If you don't have some kind of mesh material before the PCV, to act as a filter, you'll end up sucking lots of oil into the carb and consequently fouling your plugs.
Again thanks for posting. Yeah I know it's not stock for a 69 mustang. But alot of the Knott's cars were of the "Restomod type" especially this Eleanor clone w/ an FE motor, not a stock set up at all especially with the Holley Low Profile air cleaner. Well looks like for me, as long as I won't create havoc on the motor, I am fine. I currently run, as stated, the rear breather basket (Blue Thunder type w/integral brillow type mesh from DSC), Oil fill tube w/breather, oil galley pan, Ansen valve covers (w/oil fill plugs), and a Blue Thunder M/Riser manifold. Everything was working fine, just wanted to know w/the new valve covers and breathers plugged, if I were to create a problem. I just want spice underneath the hood, but a stock looking car on the outside. Too late for my situation because there are no matching numbers, I even have some headers from "FPA" on the step child. Oh well, the way I see it #1 I am lucky it is registered and drive'able ,#2 if you are behind it, you hear the Thunder. Thanks again everyone and I am open for more discussion if warranted. Thanks.
