it's typical of someone lacking in a background in actual history. the demise of the public school system in their blatant lack of teaching our nations great history and how we came to be where we are. the fireworks display is a reminder of the battle in which francis scott key observed and inspired him to write his famous song. notice the lack of this in the article. and a special note of the second to last paragraph....the writer can't understand how a couple would watch the fireworks instead of rolling around in bed. i'm sure he also knows every single tidbit of the tart paris hilton's antics. sad, a mindless spectrum.
The fireworks are an american tradition, after all we are celebrating this country. Not to be forgotten those brave men and woman who gave there life for our freedoms. So this guy can write some unpartotic thing such as this. Mean while i ll be at home in Tenneessee roasting a pig , drinking, and listning to my waylon 33 lp's, WITH FIREWORKS ,WITH MY FLAG FLING PROUND!!!!!!!

Since yesterday was Canada Day, our "1st of July". we had fireworks here last night. I was amongst the vast crowds.
This coming weekend is the vintage races at Seattle and that means a chance for a double bill by going to the Space Needle area for the 4th of Jul-Ivars. I've always marvelled at the spectacle of that show on TV.
"One New Year's Eve in Amsterdam, I watched a steady orange flame consume an upright piano in the middle of the narrow road. My extreme pleasure was tainted only by the regret that it was not a concert grand".
Hummmmm,Amsterdam, they got some realy good $hit over there.Sounds like Troy baby was having some kind of fun.
.... of the article is to get you to sign up so that you can write a comment. The writer gets credit for signups. Thus the author writes to get signups. That's all. There's no other explanation for such pandering drivel.
what the hell is this "fourm" coming to canada day and school standards, I come here to get away from any such things. If you want to talk lets start with self control. paul

over the direction our country has taken vis-a-vi the current political power in the White House because you are the real future and hope for our country. All you can do is work like hell for the party/candidate that supports you and the vision you have for our country. I have 60 candles on my birthday cake I don't think I'll live long enough to see the political/social pendulem swing back to the center with a little lean to the right. Some political pundits are saying that with in the next 2 to 3 years enough Americans' will wake up to recognise the disaster that the current administration has brought upon the country and take serious political action. Here's hoping, O & O
P.S. If other members of the forum don't like political post's, they don't have to participate, ah, wait a minute, maybe that's part of the current problem; not enough people got envolved!

Not to be a party spoiler, but having had flaming junk fall onto my roof for the last several July 4ths; and having gone over to the one knuckle head's house two years in a row at 2:00 AM to tell his idiotic friends to find some other target; I REALLY am not looking forward to July 4th.
