If you aren't getting anthing at all, check the 2nd fuse down in your fuse box. It is also your radio fuse I think. If it is blown, your turn signals won't work at all, if the indicator and lighs come on but doesn't flash, then your flasher is bad. Mine is on the right under the dash on the right side of the pedal bracket. Just a standard Ford flasher. My '65 doesn't seem to have emergency flashers at least I have never found a switch for them, so a '66 might be a little different.
Everything is working, fuse is good, turn signals do not work at all. My manual says it has a built in flasher I can't find it. But I have a four way flasher that does work and its in the glove box, it has its own flasher. Anything else you can add I'd appreciate.
I never ran across it on mine. I don't have 4-way flashers though. At least I can't find a switch for it. where would it be on a '65, it shows ir in the wiring diagram, and two flashers.

Gentelman there is a second flasher fuse just above where the nuteral safty switch is at on the lower portion of the steering column (if an automatic). just above that you will see a steel bracket that holds the column. Just above that bracket lying on top is the 2nd flasher. Mine was camoflaged by some goldish colored mohair type padding. I went so far to pull the dashpad and begin to remove the insturment cluster when I got out to get a screwdriver and looked down through the windshield and BAM their it was. Its a real engenering puck up on fords behalf. They should have taken from chevy and put er by the fuse panel.BTW I had brake ligths and parking lights but when engaged the turn singal lever the arrow on the dash lit but didnt flash. This fuse fixed my problem. Its the same fuse thats used in the glove box for the emergency flashers Good luck Matt

I moved it over to the right to make it easier to get at and it is hanging there. I don't have a fasher or a switch for 4-ways in my glove compartment, maybe that was optional?
I never knew of 65 or 66's having 4 ways. The typical flasher is located roughly as Bill stated. As I remember it hangs rather loosely under there. I believe they were silver ish in color and pretty sure they were all round. Seems like it may have 3 prongs on it. I better stop, pushng my memory pretty far here. Anyway, I bet the flasher is your problem. RonW
