I took over this 71 F350/360 resurection. Truck was here months before I was and halfway finished. After getting the correct u-joint and transmission fitting for a mismatched transmission I attempted to crank it. It back fires and catches on fire. When I pull the carburator this is what I find........

Some people should not work on a automobile. I suppose the low compression kept it from burning a piston. Oh yeah, it had a heater hose ran to the PVC valve.

That is for sure the wrong carb, MAJOR vacuum leak.
