Roller rockers for BBM heads and CJ valve covers

I bought a set of the bare BBM heads a while back. I would like to use my stock 428CJ aluminum valve covers for my build but I fear that the better roller rocker assemblies will not fit. Are there any roller rockers that will fit this combination without having to use vc spacers?

What I did

I have BBM heads with T&D Street Rockers, thick Felpro gaskets, and CJ finned aluminum valve covers. I had to modify the oil baffles so they didn't hit the rocker shafts. Personally, I think it's important to run good baffles and a PCV system on a street car.

I like that you did a percision job on those kinda rare pieces, see so many covers with them simply removed and possibly lost forever.

What are T&D "street" rockers? Their online catalog lists 5 different FE rocker assemblies but there is not any description of how each one is different.

I got my BBM heads and T&D Rockers from Blair Patrick Racing. I'm not sure of the exact part number. I just know they fit and work well. Blair can be reached here: captcj AT hughes DOT net

Looks awesome and it's exactly what mine need

I am also leaning toward T&D rocker assembly for my build. If I was a better sheet metal welder I would do mine myself. Do you want to make some extra money? wink.gif

A lot of the roller rockers will hit the baffles and will require some....

....creative "modifying". This is the case with POP and Harland Sharp for sure.

Have you ever thought about using factory rockers?

I would if I absolutely

could not get any aftermarket assemblies to fit without using spacers. Sounds like thick gaskets and some baffle mods will allow me use new parts that don't have a questionable history.

How much?

I would definitely consider that. I know that I can better than stock shafts and also end stands from DSC. I have a set of the original snake valve covers that I was planning to use and I don't like the idea of cutting up the baffles on them.
