Late Model Autolite Jet Conversions?

Instead of buying replacement Ford jets for the 2100/4100 curious if anyone has tried drilling, tapping and cutting a Ford jet down to an adapter or sleve so as to screw the Holley jets into?

Butting up the Ford and Holley jets together looks questionable if the old jet would have enough material left to accommodate the treads. Any experiments?

The resulting brass jet is very thin and tends to bend. Putting the holley jet in the top of the Autolite jet raises the float too high. My final and best version is made from a steel tube. Although still thin it does work better than brass.
