Slightly O/T Moulding fitment

I'm putting back the rocker mouldings on my 62 Galaxie convertible but
have no clue how to do it. I didn't take the off myself so no help there.
Does the clips go on the rockers first and the the moldings on the clips
in some way or do I put the clips on the mouldings and then on the rockers?
Any special tools needed?

Rocker clips

go on the body and the rocker trim slips over them from the top, then snaps over the bottom of the clip. The hardest part is the clip must be tight to the body. You can either make a tool to pinch/fold the fingers into the rocker holes or use two awls at the same time. Generally they only survive a single installation being spring steel the fingers break off very easy. Just Clips had the ones for the rocker then but I'm thinking there was a bolt on clip for the fender I had to make but it's been awhile. Otherwise I remember fairly well as I put rockers on the car and had to template and drill the factory postions. Then the same car got wrecked and I had to straighten it out and do it again. I'm sure Ford had a special tool for the job that made it easier.

Thanks, I kind of figured out it would be that way, see if it works.
