From a Canadian forum...

This was posted on the 57 Ford site. Apparently its in Calgary. Anyone know the story of what might have happened?

Thanks John - it belonged to one of our members. It got rear-ended last Spring and he is still dealing with the whiplash. The guy who hit him was drunk so no insurance coverage. The owner got a settlement from his own insurance and wanted to buy it back but for whatever, they wouldn't do it. Strange to see it here now.
It was a great totally unrestored original car. Trying to get a hold of him now to let him know. Thanks

you don't need a dealers license to buy particular this car. Just register with copart, give them a refundable deposit & bid. The original owner could bid it if he wanted to buy it back. I have bought 5 in the last 3 years. Just be sure to look at their fee schedule,(and there are lots of them) so you have an idea where you are going to stand with your bid.
