Does anyone know if you can run the autolite bf22 racing plug with lets say an MSD electronic system? My dad ran them in my mothers K code 64 fairlane years ago. He said it made a big difference in performance.

Can not see why not and if your compression is high enough to need a colder plug.

I put a set of....

BF22 plugs in my much monkeyed-with 'K' Mustang at Detroit Dragway one night, and then drove home on them. By the next day they were so fouled that the engine was acting-up. This with every add-on and 15+ pounds of boost from a Paxton VS 59. The car didn't run any better at all, but they were the only new plugs I could find in the pits. Shim head gaskets and 15+ pounds---my boost gauge only went to 15---was almighty high actual compression. The car ran just fine on BF 32s.

Well if they are just for racing,it will not help or hurt, street driving, yes may foul if you are borderline on the rich side.

Mine Ran Afoul

Long ago just after my Dad gave me his 65 P-Code I figured a set of BF22's were just the ticket. They were racing plugs, gotta make it go faster, Right? On my first trip I barely made it home. ww
