The lecture halls are air-conditioned and the AC for the lab will be in by next semester.

The island is clean as islands go. It's a tourist island so they keep things in order through as anywhere there are a few places that need to be cleaned up. The thing to remember is there are no paved roads so things get a bit dusty. If you have allergies, bring your meds. Even though you do not need a prescription to medication from the Pharmacies here, they do not always have in stock the item you need. We were told during orientation that we would soon get 'island' mentality - meaning that when we say something we needed that had been difficulty to find that we would 'stock up'. I'm finding that to be true with a few things but not a lot.

There are two larger grocery stores and MANY mid-sized and smaller grocery stores. You will not have to worry about food.

The heat can get to some people but we have all seemed to adjust throughout the semester. The first month was difficult.

The upper classman have told us that the months of August and September are bad for rain and mosquitoes. The 'Deep woods Off' is readily available but is expense so I'm planning to get some 'Repel with deet' when I go home over the break to bring back with me. Repel is in a pump vs aerosol so is easier to transport.

I've had difficulty getting the digital pictures to load properly but have finally figured it out and will get those out to all those who have emailed me by the end of this week.

Just for what it's worth. I'm not worried at all about this campus being 'new'. The Administration on site has been doing this for several years and the Administration in the US has been around even longer. There is a lot of stability that goes with being a member of the International Medical Consortium (members are SABA, MUA - Belize and MUA - Nevis). I'm confident in their abilities just as I'm confident in my abilities to be successful.
