American Airline and Continental Airline are the only airlines that fly to Belize.
The voltage usage is the same as the US.
You are going to Belize pretty early so you should have no problem whatsoever with finding an apartment near the campus. It doesn't matter if you live near the school in terms of safety because San Pedro is pretty safe. Apartments (1 bedrooms) start from $350.00 US dollars, therefore 2 bedrooms will be much more. I think that sea grape apartments are the closest 2 bed room apartments to the school, but you can check out the apartment listing on this website.
You could bring an iron or you can get you landlord to buy one for you so that it can be included in your furnishings.
Cable channels are awsome, you get most of the premium channels along with the channels that you get in the US, therefore you may not need a DVD player.
Reguarding your telephone, it is cheaper to have a cell phone here, the GSM system works here and you will have to pay an activation fee if you bring your phone.You will have to pay additional fees if you have to buy a phone from the telephone co.
