I think the club does need a season or two to build on the strength of the team. But if they bring in this 10 team premier next season or the following one then we could be faced with trying to gain promotion against teams like Derry city, UCD, Finn Harps or St. Pats, as well as opposition like Dundalk, Athlone or Galway.
We should be always seeking to improve and gain promotion. The idea of 'building a team' could very easily be used as an excuse to let us languish in the first division for a few seasons. What we need is a balanced management team to keep pushing and keep trying without throwing money away on hired guns.
