Moroney, Rennie, and Rea were all missing for the Drogs game, and we win 2-0. The striking combo of Bradely and Watson, did well, the midfiled were fully committed, and centre backs had a solid enough game.
If the line out is changed back for the sligo game, we have to start asking serious questions about PP. Why mess with a winning team?
Why not keep the same team that beat Drogheda. Okay Drogs are shite but so are Limerick, St. Francis and Cobh and we struggled against them.
We need a battler in midfield for Kirby to have his free running role and Rennie has not being doing this.
Moroney has just not scored goals so maybe a break will do him good. As for Rea, David Breen has been a nightmare since he came back. Breen just leaves everything to rea instead of controlling the back three as he did in preseason. Why not play Breen Whittle (David) and Goodwin at the back. Frost and Scully as wing backs. Kirby, Whittle (kevin) amd Rea in midfield with Watson and Bradley up front.
On the subject of are our promotion chances gone, I would like to make a statement that if we had someone to help out young Aaron we would be further up the table. What has happened to Woody??
Power's hands are tied lads he's got fuck all money and can't bring in anyone from junior soccer as there simply isn't anyone available who can cut it at NL level. This is shocking as the standard witnessed against St. Francis was akin to watching Abbeyside under 11's when i was coaching them. The keeper's well dodgy, Dave Breen has forgotten how to play,Kirby's heart seems to be in Cork and Moroney is heading the queue back to the Red House League (or similar).I know we've all said it before but surely Joe Watson's worth a go for his enthusiasm alone.Frosty is looking quiet decent since he came back have we got him for the rest of the season? We're stuck in Div One for another year so it's of paramount importance that we embark on a good cup run to satisfy the 400 or so sad bastards that turn up every week.
Sorry i am unable to run a bus to Dundalk on saturday night because I am going to see Stoke City beat Reading this weekend.
But if their is enough interest i will organise one for 15 or 24 people.
A bus is going to Drogheda on Friday week at 3pm from RSC e-mail me tubby@eircom.net.
sorry again, but this match was scheduled for thursday night when I booked the trip to England.
thankfully st. Francis were not in this game, the blues ran the game from start to finish. St. Francis only got one chance throughout that was near the end when O'Brien was brought on for Whittle and left a ball fly across the 6 yard box to Big Brendan's annoyance.
The first goal came after 30 minutes Frosty played the ball to Moroney, who then found Scully who slipped the ball past the advancing keeper. this it must be said was the first time we put three passes together. st. francis never got near our goal in the first half. the second half started as the first finished the Blues attacking (why we didn't we do this in RSC?), and when St. francis were reduced to 10 ten the game was all but over. then Kirby steped up to kill off the game to all the players delight.
there was about 180 people at the game, 130 form Waterford, 15 from UCD(including Martin Moran and assistants), 15 neturals(Liam Buckley and FAI officals)and 20 from St. Francis.
The Blues odds now 33/1 for the cup.
Sorry Wandering,
but you've got your fans stats wrong there
there was 130 Waterford Fans, but Two were

they were driving an NTL van ;)
Well done the Blues!!! Roll on UCD. There is already a big game on in Dublin on Sunday 4th with Bohs so UCD may change the game to Friday night or Saturday night!
