Currently I'm applying to the Alberta College of Art and Design. It's basically the Art Center of Canada, only better (from what I hear). It's a concept artist's wet dream, but not much in the ways of animation. I'm gearing up mainly for entertainment industry illustration, hopefully.
Anyway, colleges to avoid:
The Art Institutes - Should go without saying. I hear nothing but bad news about them.
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) - This place is like Mordor. I know people going there who say it's the hugest scam since Scientology. I asked about this school to a few different people at a Portfolio Day event, since SCAD wasn't there and I was curious. The replies I got were along the lines of "We.. don't talk about -them-."
