some other tips!!

hello both Joshs, whatsup?

SuperJosh may remember me, David, as his humorous and wiley room-mate. Other Josh doesnt know me, but I might see you when I stop by for a visit. I've been to CSSSA twice, so lemme give you some tips on what to bring:

1) they send you info on what to bring for drawing, and the measurements of the drawing board are really really big for absolutely no reason. Just buy a standard figure drawing-size board. Good enough.

2) my first year when I roomed with SuperJosh, he forgot a pillow. I laughed at him, but many a time since then on various trips I have forgotten a pillow and my neck has payed for it dearly.

3) Also, bring a trash can, and empty it regularly. it's amazing how much crap we throw away each day, and for a while we werent sure what was making the room smell so bad. Then we threw our trash out and it smelled nicer. We learned it the hard way.

4) The beds are not very confortable, especially if you're the last to claim a bed and you get the really uncomfortable one (like our friend SuperJosh.) This isnt a necesity, but a sleeping pad could be nice.

5) Bathing suit. It all depends, really. The first summer I was there, I didnt use the pool at all. My second summer there, my room faced the pool and we saw cute dancers in bakinis all day long from our window, so we went to the pool regularly. Swimming is fun, relaxing, and a good way to meet people, so grab some friends and go some time while you're there.

6) Costumes. No questions, just do it. You'll be the coolest kid ever.

Above all, be there in the moment when you're at CSSSA. Truly some of the best memories and most fun times have been had there, and you gotta fully enjoy each minute. Have a blast, I'm only slightly jelous.
