I got introduced to the Starsky & Hutch fandom through a Sentinel crossover fic called Outside Influences by Candy Apple. (Who is one of the best Sentinel writers out there in my opinion. Others agree with me too.) I usually don't like crossovers because they often just seem like and excuse for multiple pairings, partner switching, and orgies. I am not really into that so I usually don't like crossovers.

In this story that would just be sick. Once you read it, you'll know why.

*Outside Influences* J/B, S/H NC-17 long story~~

Blair is kidnapped and once Jim finds him they try to figure out who did this to him and why. Help is offered when one of the kidnappers might be an escaped felon Starsky and Hutch put away. The help isn't exactly wanted, but is tolerated. Blair, also, discovers he may have a connection to Starsky he never could have imagined.

There is also an interlude to this story called *Dad's Day* and a sequel called *Family Matters*. All are great reads.

You can find them all at: http://members.tripod.com/Candy_A/oipage.htm

I put off reading this story for some time, until one night I was bored found it and thought, what the heck. I loved Candy's work so I gave it a try. I loved it and wished I had read it sooner. I immediately went out and tried to find more Starsky and Hutch fanfic.

I found the S/H Archive, which is chocked full of Starsky & Hutch slash fanfic.

You can find it at: http://members.delphi.com/punkflamingo/web/SHarchive/sharchiv.html

While there be sure to check out:

*Total Eclipse of the Heart* By Flamingo

Which is a story so wonderful I can't begin to describe it, it's novel length and rated NC-17. It is a must read in this fandom. It has a ton of angst, some sweet love, and hot sex all my favorite things. The plot is just wonderful, yet another reason why I like it, it has one. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find it, it has over 30 parts I think listed. Just start with the prologue and don't stop until you hit the epilogue. Go read it, I insist.<g>

*Hour of Seperation* By Sylvia Bond

This is a great story too. That has about 4 parts to it. It is really good as well, has some UST at first that gets resolved after alot of teasing. I think the title comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran if I am not mistaken. Check it out too.

Also for more Starsky and Hutch Slash you can check out the new Pits archive. It is an archive for the new ThePitsFic list at onelist. You can join that list there too. It has both gen and slash fic at this archive and it is great.

You can find it at: http://members.delphi.com/flamingoslim/web/ThePits/ThePits.htm

In addition to Clio's choice recs, I would put forward Suzan (?) Lovett's 'A Fine Storm' series, which can also be found at the S/H slash archive:

I couldn't find a rating on it, so I'll call it NC-17, to be on the safe side. It's a very moving, angst flavored story that I actually haven't read recently enough to go into detail on - still, it sits next to Flamingo's Total Eclipse as my favorite S/H story, and is a quicker read for those who are short of time;)

Kathie Norris' 'First Dance', Pamela Rose's 'The Last Charade', Sarah Problem's 'Trails in the Dark', Sebastyin's 'My True Love Gave To Me' and Cheyenne's 'Identity Crisis' worked for me too. With the exception of 'Identity Crisis', they can all be found (I hope) at the URL above. Cheyenne's story can be found here:

New Part to Outside Influences series

Just yesterday Candy Apple posted a new part to her Sentinel/Starsky & Hutch crossover Outside Influences. It is called Primary Subject and pulls the series into the aftermath of the events that occured in S2P1 & S2P2. In this one the boys try to deal with what occured in that ep and how it effects their relationship. In it Blair goes to stay with Starsky & Hutch for a while to get his head together and to heal from an illness. It is really pretty good and Candy has promised a new part coming soon that will most likely deal with something that is brought up in Primary Subject. If it is what I think it is, then it's a good thing.

You can find it at the links to Candy's Outside Influences page listed above.
