As far as I know Slashcity.COM and .ORG are OK
SlashCity.Net sites that have moved to SlashCity.TV
SlashCity.Net
We are still trying to get our domain name back.
Registerclub.Com
Registerclub.Com is on our personal blacklist and we advise anyone with domain names registered through them to keep an eye out for expiration dates and when your domain name expires, register it with someone else.
They have failed to notify us of three domain name's expiration. Slashcity.Org, which no one scooped up because of it's .org extension. A domain name we maintain for someone non-slash related and SlashCity.Net.
It apears that SlashCity.Net was registered through registerclub.com just seconds after our ownership of the domain name expired. The non-notification of expiration and the re-registration within seconds appears very fishy.
Registerclub.com is, at the least, guilty of gross-negligence in their duties as a registrar, at the worst, collusion. Therefore, we cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone.

Domain Stuff
These f**ckers have already put up porn sites on slashcity.net and subdomains. Porn sites make money off of advertisers. Slashcity.Net and subdomains get over 1 million hits a month. That's quite a chunk of advertising change.
We've put in an offer for our domain name but haven't heard back from them yet.
They have hit counter on the sites. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THESE SITES and make their hit counters increase. They'll just up the price of the ransom.

Something Rotten...
Concerning SlashCity.Net
Dear SlashCity Residents,
Well, to put it bluntly, we have been hosed.
RegisterClub.com is no longer our recommended host. Something is rotten in Denmark, folks. I (Robin) never received our renewal notice for the domain name. I know it wasn't just an oversight on my part because I manage domains for several businesses I do work for on the side, and to let a domain lapse would kill my side work.
This is the second time, though, that registerclub.com has done this to me, though. I thought the first time was a glitch on their part, and I happened to notice before any damage was done. Not this time, though.
Registerclub just happened to neglect my renewal notice, and just minutes after it expired, a Russian company registered it and put a minimum bid of $550 on it to get it back. We are in the process of paying it to get the domain back, because we don't have the resources to fight it. All I can do is pay the fucking fee and get our domain back under our control.
I have also registered slashcity.tv for us under a different registrar-- a more trustworthy one, of course. And if anyone would like to set up camp under that domain instead of staying with .net once we get it back, you can do that.
We have no timetable as of yet for getting the domain bought back. So if you don't want to wait to see how long it takes to get slashcity.net back, we can transfer your files to slashcity.tv and you'll be back up and running in about 24-48 hours.
We sincerely apologize for this mess. We wish we had the clout and the resources to fight these assholes quickly, but we don't.
Oh! And we have figured out that the bandwidth hog was most likely this Russian company, indexing the site as quickly as possible to find out how much traffic the domain gets, so that they could set a price for us to buy back our own domain. These people suck big ones, guys. And the only way to fight it that we can think of is to never let your guard down, and always register with a reputable company, even if they are more expensive. If I'd registered slashcity.net with networksolutions.com or even register.com, then I would not have gotten shady service-- or in this case, backstabbing no service at all, and it would have cost me $35 to renew instead of the $550 that it's going to cost.
Thanks for your patience.
In the next few hours, we'll go ahead and ask which of you want to be moved to slashcity.tv and which of you want to wait it out for slashcity.net.
Feel free to pass this along
Robin
