Curious to know if a sausage boot is the same as a rubber ring.

Also does anyone know where I can find a picture of a Yorkshire boot ?

First of all - yess a sausage boot is the same as a rubber ring (anti-brushing ring).

Secondly - the Yorkshire boot - no I don't know where you can get a picture of one but in one of my books it says "A Yorkshire boot (easily made up at home) is no more than a stout oblong piece of rugging with a tape sewn along the centre. It is tied round above the joint and doubled over to form a protective cuff. It is very effective but not much good in deep mud". the boot is used to prevent brushing.

Hope this helps a bit.

Evelyn.

If you find a very old pony club member they will probably have a very old copy of the Manual of Horsemanship and that will have a pic of the Yorkshire boot in it. I have one somewhere - YES just looked at it and it DOES have a pic

on page 124 of the 8th edition - very ancient book I guess.
