Hi
I am doing my Stage II CARE ONLY at Myerscough College on Wednesday 27th October. Is anyone else doing the exam then?

Can anyone provide any tips for me?
I am most worried about the lungeing section - any advice?

Do the Examinders allow a certain amount for the fact you will be nervous etc?

I have come from doing my NVQ Level II so have not done any of the 'Stage' exams before.

Hey Helen,

DON'T WORRY!!!! You will cope fine going straight into stage 2 if you have done your nvq's. I sat some of my exams there and the centre is excellent.
They have very good equipment for the sm practical and the lunging horses were very well behaved.
Examiners take into account that you are nervous and especially at stage 1/2 when you are just getting into the exam system.
I was so pleased with the centre that I am planning on sitting my BHS Intermediate Exams there next year (Well the teaching part anyway)!
Good luck - as long as you are safe and efficient then you have nothing to worry about. Oh and smile...examiners like that!

Thanks Will for your advice! I am going through lungeing and another few last minute things tonight with my instructor and so hopefully I will be okay. It is reassuring to know the lunge horses and equipment are all good!

yay i passed my care section of the Stage II - only just found out the envelope came at lunch time in the post! really pleased! just got to pass the riding section now!
