| Hi, Am due to take my stage two riding at Blackdyke in June and wondered if anyone had been up there recently and what they thought about it...
What were horses like and what was jumping like...
Am the grand old age of 40 this year and am hoping to get it before my 41st!!
Have passed my stage two care at Myerscough last June. |

Have no fears - you can do it. What is 40 anyway? just a number ! just get on and enjoy it.
The ABRS exams are good and if you want to teach you could always go that route. Entry to their teaching exam is open to all after taking their weekly rider tests up to 6 or 8 or something. Worth looking into in my opinion. They are looking for instructors too.

I've attempted stage 3 at Blackdyke a couple of times - the horses there are really good. The show jumping is in a field and there's lots of room to canter around and the jumps are set out really well. I got my stage 2 at Eccleston, but only because it's closer to me.
As for age - I wish I was only 40 (57 next week!) - so don't worry about that - just go out there and do it!
Good luck, let us know how you got on.
