I have booked to take my Stage 1 in March of this year and as you can imagine am quite terrified of taking the exam and failing it! However I am getting good instruction with the riding and s/m and am trying to be as prepared as possible but I would just like to know if anyone can offer any advice/tips ie if anyone failed what was it for etc.

Thanks in advance!
An.
ps - Already have the vid.

Have you got the examiners handbook? It's about £10 from the BHS bookshop. If you can't answer the questions for stage 1 in this book, then you shouldn't be taking the exam. Mind you, I hadn't got the book when I took mine and still passed, but now that I have got it - I wished I'd had it earlier. It's well worth the money.
The exam isn't as bad as you think - easy to say after the event I know, but just try and enjoy yourself on the day.
Goodkluck - let us know how you get on.
