  • Brotherly Love or TAKEOVER?!?

I've been doing a lot of thinking (about five seconds, with some of my attention on HBO) on this whole Death-of-ScoopGuy thing. Given TL's recent post, I'm beginning to doubt TL's intentions.

Let's compose a (crude) timeline here. Thurston becomes Thunderlove, and leaves the Pringles' life of wealth and gaiety for his solitary music career. Which fails. But hey, you've gotta suffer for your art, right? Anyways, Winthrop takes up the Scoop Guy persona and becomes fabulously famous, wealthy, and adored by millions of screaming men and women who want to have his child.

Thunderlove sees ScoopGuy's popularity, and he is jealous.

Then TL KILLS SG. Or maybe not. That parts a maybe.

Anyways, SG disappears and TL moves into the Pringle estate, and starts living it up. But then strange things start to happen.

Version 1: Jeeves knows that TL killed SG, and he's using forged letters and fake phone calls to try to unnerve TL, with the intention of blackmailing him out of the Pringle fortune.

Version 2: SG is not dead. The letters and phone calls TL receives are genuine. However, TL does not want to share the Pringle fortune, so he's keeping up this charade that SG is dead. If this is true, then SG probably has in his possession the three most desired scoops in Trekdom: Series V, Movie X, and the manuscript of Preserver!

Version 3: SG has passed beyond the rim, and I am doing a grave misservice to his memory and his brother by writing this.

In any event, it's something to think about during the boring stretches on HBO.
