It's still amazingly hard to believe that...

.....despite Alty:

* collecting only a mere 5 points out of the last 36 points that have been available;

* drawing one and losing six of our last seven home matches;

* having a worse away record than our last relegation from the Conference back in the 1999/2000 season,

we have still managed to avoid dropping into the bottom two of the league and are safe from relegation, pending any points deduction!

Be honest, if, after the 2-1 home win over Cambridge on 11th February 2006, someone had told you that Alty would win only one of their following 12 matches, would you have believed that such a sequence of results would be enough for us to escape the relegation trapdoor?

Extraordinary!

What a bizarre season...

.... was just to show some bizarre statistics!

Alty have proved that we deserve to remain in the Conference on merit.
The rest is up to the FA now.
