re: don't resign

The idea of Heathcote resigning from the club is abhorrent. With out him we would not be in the conference national, nor would we have had such success this season, financially we would have been in a dire position as external managers would not have had a full grasp of our debt situation.

Heathcote is Alty through and through, the results last season were superb to get us promoted and this season has been fantastic.

If he does resign I for one would be respectful of his decision but I would hate for him to believe that any Alty supporter would like to see him go.

G. is not responsible for the Robinson affair and he has Alty in his heart!

Don't resign cont...

Either way:-
1. We stay up, Heathcote has done no wrong and has masterminded us staying in the conference, I can see no one in a better position to do the same next season.

2. We go down, By his own admission there was no way in which this situation could have been forseen so why resign futhermore from a footballing point of view again there is no better CV for helping us gain promotion from Conference North. Think of the team spirit that we have fostered and the likely leavers amongst the playing staff, what a double whammy at a time when we will least need it.

No blame, No mistake, No need to resign.
Simon Ellis.
