I saw Brian Kilcline playing for Newcastle the other day. I checked my Unibond Years book and discovered that he only played 19 times for Newcastle. How does this make him a 'Master'. I would have expected there to have been some correlation between being chosen and fan recognition. After all he'd almost qualify as an Alty Master, but I dont expect we'd ever want to see him in that team...bit odd really.

But who would you pick as the Alty Masters squad?

Here is my team I would enter:-

Goalie: Jeff Wealands
Defence: Paul Rowlands/Andy Reid/Harry Wiggins
Midfield: Ian Morris(no i'm not joking, cos he still has loads of pace) Nicky Daws, Paul Showler
Forward: Ken McKenna, John Brady, Mark Hughes

Was at the masters last Sunday, and the players who took part were all in that age group.
